What is the hidden cost of Aldi Pork when it comes to animal welfare? See our video below and find out what you can do to help!

It’s been great to see retailers carrying more and more vegan products. But that does not excuse the fact that many still use inhumane practices in their supply chain.

It has now been three years since we started our petition asking Aldi to commit to a 100% gestation crate free supply chain  and Aldi added a sentence to its animal welfare policy that said:
“We expect our suppliers to pursue the elimination of crates for pregnant sows in favor of group housing”.

But as we can sadly see, an “expectation” falls far short of a commitment and can go on forever.
Three years have passed and Aldi has no updates.

No commitment.
No response.
No timeline.

Does Aldi actually care at all about the animals it profits from?

Please help us get Aldi to commit to a timeline to end this inhumane and dated practice.

TAKE ACTION

The only way to make progress is to make your voice heard! Please speak up on behalf of the thousands of mother pigs who suffer day in and day out in these tiny crates!

Please help get the word out by sharing the video on social media. Then please ask Aldi USA to commit to a timeline to phase out these crates.

Here are sample posts you can use and/or personalize by asking Aldi to commit to no more gestation crates.

Unlike many other major food companies in the U.S., Aldi will not publicly commit to a timeline to phase out the use of gestation crates by its suppliers — considered by many to be one of the cruelest practices in animal agriculture. Back in 2019 Aldi said: “We expect our suppliers to pursue the elimination of crates for pregnant sows in favor of group housing”. Unfortunately, an “expectation” is far from a commitment, and 3 years later Aldi still has no comments and no updates.  Watch this new video, and learn how you can help get Aldi to finally commit to no more crates.  #aldiusa #aldifinds #aldifavoritefinds #animalwelfare #crueltyfree #cratefreeusa #gestationcrates https://youtu.be/I81wDHsrRd0

Dark Gestation Crate

THE HIDDEN COST OF ALDI PORK

It’s time for Aldi to publicly commit to a timeline to phase out one of the
cruelest practices in animal agriculture:
confining mother pigs
in tiny “gestation crates” for virtually their entire lives.

Thank you!
